Petersham Nurseries.....

"While you're Richmond way, visit Petersham Nurseries. You'd love it!"

And we certainly did. Me especially. Victorian greenhouses which had been converted into a tea and coffee shop, very smart restaurant and plant sales areas. Highly recommended!

Then a walk along the river to Ham House, where we finally joined The National Trust.  A two and a half mile walk to Teddington Lock, the same back again to the car to offload walking boots and on to Gauchos for dinner. Home late!

Well, it was a Bank Holiday......and my birthday!
