Wild and Woolly Wednesday

This is what’s commonly known as Old Man’s Beard and it’s heavily draping an old Turpentine tree (an Australian native that the wild birds just love)!


This woolly air plant is known by a number of wild names…. Spanish Moss, Tillandsia, Spanish Moss and Grey Beard to name a few!


A wild fact is that they used to use it as stuffing for mattresses!  But, do you believe me?


I often collect it and drape it around pot plants, but it doesn’t last long as the Possums and other "wild"life collect it for their nests!   My take for Wild Wednesday!
