Not "valuable or attractive"

The island church is being opened all day every day - a brave little experiment! The insurers recommend you lock away brassware so it isn't stolen. But we are a church and really should have a cross above the altar. This wooden one is not technically "valuable or attractive" so is less likely to walk.

The crucified Christ not valuable or attractive. I think that is rather the point...
