Life!
Last year I blipped this lovely Hibiscus that I was rather excited about. I had two of them in some large pots - I kept them alive all summer and in the winter, I put them in the barn where they would get some light but be safe from the frosty winter weather. Near the end of the winter, Mr Tex thought he'd be nice and he moved them to the far end of the barn where he had the doors open so they could sit in the sun there for a while...and then he left them there when he closed up the barn. A few days later, he came back and they were stumps! The rats, presumably, had eaten my beautiful plants :0(
Well, I have put the stumps out in the sun, and watered the stumps, and watched them very carefully - and considered pulling them out and putting some petunias in there several times...but then I can't bring myself to...but now I see this teeny tiny little green speck on one of them. It looks bigger here as I zoomed in a bit...but it's tiny...I think there may be life left in the Hibiscus - fingers crossed.
I took lots of pics in the garden yesterday afternoon...it was really sunny but here were dark rain clouds coming in and the light was lovely...I'm uploading the rest to flickr, will add the link when they're done.
