Not quite Ta Promh ...
A dreich afternoon, but one demanding a walk after 5 hours in a car yesterday. Walking through the rain, I suddenly and for the first time noticed how the roots of these conifers beside the old road at Puck's Glen resembled the roots of the strangler figs and other trees at the Cambodian Ta Promh temple - the one in the Lara Croft movie.
The additional photo is of our particular jungle in this afternoon's rain.
The heat of Cambodia, oppressive though it could be, was a beguiling memory as the temperature once more dropped to single figures.
