Calton Ladies

The best bit of my job is being able to offer something new and artistic to people, allowing individuals to find a different way to explore what's important to them.

Over the past few weeks three groups have been working with an artist to design community flags to parade alongside the Commonwealth flags at the LPP.

Today was parade day and we had to be at City Chambers early. It was easy because the sky was blue and held sunshine!

The groups were impressed by their designs scaled up and printed onto silk. The Partick group even brought their own photographer with them.

This photo has some of the ladies from the Calton group who designed the flags but weren't able to parade. It was so great to see them at the Green and show them their flags.
