Honey Moor

A long, disjointed, but ultimately productive day today. Out of the house for 14 hours, 300 miles travelled, lots of talking, but thankfully even more listening, and then finally some doing.
An early walk with pooch was glorious, but was so early I was befuddled and forgot camera or even phone. Then into Kendal for some physio that turned out to be the best treatment so far for the now 16 day old headache.
No time to relax though as then across to Penrith for a thought provoking, and unexpected meeting, that at present has to be filed under "more of this another day".
Back from that meeting and time for a coffee, dash round the village with pooch and then M arrived and we headed down to the British Mountaineering Council's offices in Didsbury. The meeting, the first of many to come, went better than I could have hoped, with the BMC fully behind my proposal to try and create a national framework for litter collecting events in the uk. So now just NT, JMT, CFRE, FotLD, 3PP, MTA* & all the other letters of the alphabet to get on board!
Excited drive home, pooch walk, more coffee & back to Grayrigg for Community First Responder training and pre-reassessment tests - let's hope tomorrow's actual exam goes as well.
Finally - couch, a wee dram and blip!

*& this really is just a small sample of stakeholder organisations we need to speak to so that no-one feels left out.
