So many blessings ...

It's Ascension day and one of the good things about having a child in a Catholic school is, today is a school holiday.  Apologies for the quality of this photo taken with my phone, yet it includes some of my very favourite things ... my lovely girl and her stunning horse, sitting alone, outside on a champaign autumn day, a good coffee and a new book on Mahamudra, explained by Tai Situpa. 
Yesterday a lovely house down the road was gutted by fire.  A contractor water-proofing the roof used a blow-torch next to the thatch-roof.  Never has a water-proofing job been so well tested!!  So quickly, a beautiful house became a blackened, smouldering shell.  It was still smoking this morning.
