Short-term Visitor

It's another gloomy day but I'm happy because the male Rose-breasted Grosbeak is back.  The owner of the local Wild Bird store told me they only stay in our area for about a week as they migrate north.  Perhaps that's why I've never noticed one before, or on the other hand, it could be that pre-photography I wasn't looking.  Regardless, I stocked up on his favorite food, sunflower seeds, hoping he will hang around.
