Bluebells

We had a drive over to Ashridge today to see the bluebells. The cafe and visitor centre area were absolutely full of people and dogs but after a quick spot of lunch we went walking through the estate and hardly saw anyone; clearly lunchtime was being spent at the cafe! Although the estate is lovely there were not many bluebells so we headed over to Dockey's Wood where we knew there would be lots, and weren't disappointed. We had the wood virtually to ourselves and the spectacle was quite unlike anything I have ever seen before. So many bluebells all over the wood that it looked as though the trees had been dipped into spilled paint! if you are anywhere near then it is certainly worth a look but I would do it over the next week before they fade for this year.
