This first time I've managed to photograph the pheasant mid-flap - it looks like he leaves the ground when he does this, saying 'wac wac'.

A better day today, with glipses of sunshine, but still very windy.  I voted today, and did a proxy vote for my friend who's away from home just now: the first time I've done that.
