The book pile

does not diminish. Three things have conspired today to make the situation worse. 
I ordered a copy of 'A Life Discarded' by the excellent Alexander Masters (I am deep into 'Simon: the Genius in the Basement') from the Malvern Book Coop, which arrived today. 

Cycling in to collect it allowed me also to post a book on K's Ponzi pyramid scheme for book swaps, which threatens the arrival of more books than I have sent. 

And then R. sent an excellent reading list to for orientation about southern Italy. So I have had to order more, mainly in Kindle editions but one from AbeBooks. 

The pile by the bed may have to wait a bit. I have almost finished a couple.
