Doing your duty

Lots of different votes happening today, here we only had to choose a police commissioner. There was a choice between half a dozen candidates, five having political affiliations and one independent. I will leave it to you to work out with one I voted for.
Although Commissioner Gordon was a significant personality in Gotham City, Police Commissioners are a newish animal in this country and they have a lot of power and potentially a lot of influence over our lives. In view of this it is appalling that there was absolutely no information provided by those asking for our support. There was something on the internet but not easy to find so only those interested (very few) will bother to read it or vote. I went to the poling station just before 3.00, it had been open for eight hours, and I was their 18th visitor. I think this might prove the point.
