Attempt 2...

It was the SWI coffee evening and baking was required. I set off the dough for Chelsea buns, spent the morning making them. My oven runs a bit hot but usually I can smell that things are cooked and rescue them in time ...that is unless I'm full of cold :-( and then I smell nothing and they are burnt to a crisp. I was gutted as they were beautifully risen and would have been perfect...instead they were perfectly burnt. Sigh! So I quickly made some blueberry and choc chip muffins to take instead. I sat next to the cooker and made sure they didn't burn!
The coffee evening was good fun. A duet sang old 1950s songs for us and even had folk up dancing! A very pleasant evening thanks to a good dose of paracetamol :-D
