Rothley Court
This is the lovely country house hotel that we are staying in for a couple of nights. It's only a hour's drive from home but it feels like another world. Parts of the building date back to the seventeenth century when it was all part of Rothley Temple. The temple is still there and is still regularly used. It is closely connected with the Knights Templar movement. The buildings were also the location for meetings led by Wilberforce when he was preparing his Bill re the abolition of slavery.
