.....mistakes again.....
Can you spot the mistakes in this photo?
That's right........!
The fan/light is on the floor not on the ceiling.
The sills are only partly complete.
The heater has a whits socket...when all the others are chrome.
The conservatory was supposed to be finished on Tuesday.......but.......
there was a piece of the tie-bar missing....so it couldn't be fitted....so the electrician couldn't fit the light/fan....so the sills couldn't be finished....so everything went on hold until Thursday................
but...........
on Thursday the missing piece of tie bar still hadn't turned up....but the electrician said he could fit the light because he knew where the tie bar would go....but when he opened the box , the light had obviously been dropped because it was damaged and the bracket was twisted....so neither the light or the tie bar could be fitted.......but the electrician fitted all the wiring.....but he only had white sockets for the heater....but he promised to get a chrome one.........and they promised to come back on Saturday morning......
but.............
for the second week in a row Saturday morning was stretched until 2.00 p.m......which meant the electrician couldn't come....which wasn't too bad as the replacement parts for the light hadn't arrived....so the builder cracked on....and did the waterspout/down pipe.......and the wrongly fitted beading.....and the forgotten sealant on the flashing......and the missing screw covers....and the wrongly fitted gutter clips.......and the two incompletely fitted roof spars.......and then he did the tie bar....and then the "ceiling" strip, remembering to drill a hole for the wiring for the light (after we reminded him)....and then he set to on the sills....only to realise that he had two different thickness of sill....so he could only do half the sills.....
so........they have to come back on Monday to.......
fit the rest of the sills
hang the light/fan
change the socket
test the electrics
straighten the wonky door handles
fit a drain cover
re-trim at all the major joints
fit restrictors so the doors can't blow wide open
polish all the glass
clean all the plastic.............................
and then on Tuesday the boss of the firm and the architect have to come and do a final inspection and hand it over.....at least they better do.....or they will face my wrath!
