Danny House, Hurstpierpoint

I remember as a child being driven along New Way Lane and having the old house at Danny pointed out to me across the fields: even then I was impressed, so naturally it has featured in another of my 'nostalgic drives' since moving back to Sussex at the start of April.

Today, the old Elizabethan mansion was basking in the sunshine in its (relatively) secluded location at the foot of the Downs.
