East Cowes Marina

Looks nice and peaceful and all!

We also had a peaceful sail over here but the girl at the marina office allocated us a berth which was going in with the racing tide! As we turned to go in the tide took us and we started to fly in at incredible speed! J had to whack the boat into reverse which also kicked the boat badly to port side. We ended up bouncing off a pontoon with our inflated dinghy, which is strapped to the back, being used as an oversized fender. Well it woke the lady up on the boat nearby who swiftly came out to help.
We didn't hit anybody but we did boing off the pontoon in spectacular style. We decided we couldn't get into the berth the marina had given is so we stayed put. They didn't mind and actually apologised for giving us a berth going in that direction.
