I am not Bradley Wiggins
This blip has taken forever to write!
First I uploaded from the phone but wanted to use the lap top to write because I can do it quicker.
But then I deleted all the text!
I really shouldn't blip when the Golf is so exciting. I'm not a Golf fan but I have been gripped this afternoon by it. Well done Ernie Els.
A good day for South African sport with Golf and Cricket success on English soil.
And a great day for British Cycling. The exploits of Bradley Wiggins, Chris Froome and Mark Cavendish in The Tour de France bode well for London 2012.
As for myself, I am NOT an elite cyclist. I have been pleased with my increasing stamina for riding though. As I rode up the same short but steep hill yet again I could only admire the way these cyclists work.
Today I have been measuring a couple of courses for Run Preston in September. In total I have ridden about 30 miles in glorious sunshine but the job isn't finished. Let's say it's "challenging" :)
The gardens in Avenham Park are spectacular at the moment, and the views along the River Ribble were also great in the sunshine.
Of the 70+ photos I took today, this is the only survivor. The purpose of photos was to identify KM and critical points on the courses but as they are no longer needed it's better to just get rid so I don't use the wrong ones!
I quite like this though with the bunting, sunlight and shadows. Sticking out of the top of my bag is the trusty yellow paint I use to mark the KM points. However, black is the most popular colour of paint used by measurers - to cover up the mistakes :)
Have a good week
