East Pacific Red Octopus
At the Hatfield Marine Science Centre in Newport Oregon. The main attraction is a Pacific Giant Octopus. However it is only fed 3 times a week and the rest of the time is curled up under a stone. Only the suckers on one tentacle was visible. This smaller one however, was quite active; as one of the Americans there said, it's quite balletic. Brilliant sunshine all day but the stiff NW breeze kept temperatures down.
