FlowerFriday: Iris

These are John's Irises, a gift from our son Micah and his then girlfriend when they were in high school. They worked together and made the flowerbed, planting the irises for his birthday.
The extra is of daughter Sanna and granddaughter Aspen. Aspen sings in the chamber choir at the high school. Today the choir took part in the state competition in Newberg, we went to listen. They came home with a fifth place trophy, great achievement! The highlight to me is when, at the beginning of the award ceremony, the audience (all 12 competing choirs plus others) sing the national anthem together. With all the good voices and harmonies it is very impressive.
