The Garonne Canal
Today the photography started with a session on basic camera technique followed by a trip to the local marina to practice our skills. I had a new challenge which is to use the AF button for focussing and keep the usual shutter button just for exposure and shutter action.
The light this morning was very tricky indeed with marked contrasts. I wasn't very happy with my results. This afternoon I went out when the heat was less and wandered along the towpath. I wanted to show you the tree lined canal, so this image won over others of wild flowers, a fisherman, cyclists and maize.
PS If you haven't already, you may wish to see a few more photos from the holiday on my Blipfolio.
