Remembrance

We had a walk planned on the South Downs today. Before we left I got the news that my Uncle George had died. He was 86 and had pancreatic cancer. He died very quickly but peacefully after he was diagnosed. It was only a matter of weeks but he was at home surrounded by his family. I posted a blip of him earlier in the year with his brother Eddie who is now the only surviving sibling from that side of the family. Very sad news.

We went ahead with the walk as we were being picked up by a friend and it was all arranged. Actually it did me good to be out in the fresh air and sunshine. The Downs looked beautiful today with meadows full of wild flowers.
