Did Your Mother Never Tell You.....

..... not to chirp with your mouth full?.  Our regular visitor, the 'spotty' Blackbird, was in fine form today, gathering worms in the garden.  It was so funny to watch him, he was dancing up and down on the ground to encourage the worms to the surface. Apparently this mimics the sound of rain on the ground, and wet ground is easier for the worms to move along, so birds exploit this behaviour.  Isn't nature wonderful?
