Aah Spring

Well, the last couple of days have issued in some beautiful weather, l went for a walk in our park and took this photo of the lovely, lovely tree in blossom. I could not help but contrast it it with a photo (extra) l took several years back in December after a huge fall of snow (something relatively unusual in London).
The building next to the tree is an old Victorian water tower which was used to supply this estate with water, stored in a reservoir underneath. During the 2nd WW apparently it was filled and kept in case extra water was needed in London as the result of bombing. It was never needed.
