Jackdaws
There was a lot going on in the field today. The horses were down and had been rolling around so had left plenty of hair from their winter coats on the grass. The Jackdaws were quick to come down and fill their beaks with a cosy lining for their nests.
Two mallard ducks were feeding in the burn while a blackbird bathed. The blackbird also seemed delighted with the mealworms I had put out, completely filling his beak on a number of occasions. The bluetits have nt been in and out of the nestbox over the last few days so I think they must be sitting on eggs. A few swallows around too.
Mikes made a little table for the decking area , ideal for my cup of tea :)
A cloudy day and not over warm but dry which is more than the forecast said.
