Minka amongst the breakfast

Forgot to mention yesterday that as well as the chickens and the swans we were also looking after this very sweet but rather elderly cat who had the run of the house. Her breakfast spot was in amongst the breakfast on the dresser -looking like part of a still life.

Spent a good part of the day in Hay -shopping. Books of course but also some great little clothes shops and fairly well stocked charity shops (pair on Monsoon trousers bagged for £6!).

In the evening we went into Brecon for a meal at the Tiffin and Tiple by the theatre (Recommended-really excellent food!) Then back for the first Hey! activity -Gareth's whisky tasting. He had given us some slightly pretentious but hilarious descriptions of single malts and we had to guess which Whisky we were drinking. Merriment increased with each tasting!!!
