Riders Memorial Run
Today was a great day, weather was great, warm and not too sunny all the time. Set off at around 1045 to meet up at Strensham Services with other riders coming from the South West, they were at the 'Mud Bath Rally', and other coming from around the area. We then set off at about 1140 to go to the National Memorial Arboretum for the Royal British Legion Riders annual memorial and blessing.
Names of the dozen or so that we'd lost since last years memorial run were read out, with prayers, a reading and a blessing for everyone in the Riders branch. There was also an address by the priest about the incredible work that the Riders branch does for the Royal British legion.
Never met a rider, or rideress, that wasn't a really good person and I'm honoured to be part of their life.
On the ride back (180 miles round trip) I was exactly six miles from the turn off for Gloucester (checked the SatNav) when the rain, lightning and thunder started. 15 minutes later I arrived home a bit wet but happy after a great day.
Extra photo is my bike yesterday after I'd checked it out ready for today.
