I'm sure I'm not qualified to judge forestry work, and I know the nature of the business means that areas of woodland have to be cut down every few years (or tens of years). And of course the felling of these woods made a huge visual difference at this spot - open space where there was none before. But it has all been left like this for ages and it really looks a bit of mess.
