I took the plunge and had a short haircut today.

For the first time since my age was in single figures.

When my mother would say to the barber, "He wants a short back and sides", even though, in the '60s, that was the last thing I wanted.

My hair was at its longest in 1973 at age 15. As you can see.

Now that my age is getting nearer to being in the '60s, I find a shorter cut much more appealing.

Should have done it years ago.
