Life from city to village

Blossom in the churchyard

Another gorgeous day by the looks of it! The blossom is out in the churchyard, so I went down to see the effect of the blossom against the Spring Green of the larger trees behind, rather than going for a blue sky. I'm thinking the colour contrast might work a bit better. Although there are tree trunks in the background too - I do rather like this effect.

Last night, we ended up going door to door round the neighbours to look for the cat. There is one house which is seriously run down. Lo and behold, sat in the front window, was Jet. The elderly man who owns the house hadn't noticed, and reckoned she must have nipped in while he had the door open. Funnily enough, although she's out this morning, she isn't leaving our garden at all. I think yesterday's episode really spooked her. It has also done my daughter good. She didn't want to let the cats out today - but we had a long conversation about having to trust those you love - and that it is unfair to imprison independent animals - like it would be unfair of me to imprison her. Yes it is scary letting them go off without you, but that is what responsibility is all about.
