Shot taken having read the instructions
Whilst mooching around Sainsburys yesterday I came across a photography book by Tom Ang. In it were his pictures of Rhododendron flowers and instructions how to achieve a similar result. I did not buy the book (too dear) but did remember the instructions - shoot in the early morning, drop a stop or two to enhance the colour, remove all not perfect flowers plus a few others.
I suspect the reason my shot is not as good as his is down to the fact I ignored each and every one of his suggestions. I was not up in time for an early morning shot and having missed one suggestion ignoring the others was easy.
