Magnolia Warbler
This is the last fancy bird I'll be posting for a good while, in all likelihood. I'm home again. But this morning, before I headed east from West Virginia back to Virginia, we went and had breakfast and a "big sit" at a wetland boardwalk thingy. This little warbler was extremely interested in us and kept popping out and posing prettily. He has, the guides told us during our birding week, just about every field mark a bird can have for the purposes of identification. Yellow breast; necklace; broken white eye-ring; black mask; yellow rump; white wing bar; and on and one. One very blinged out bird.
I am not quite up to getting back into the commenting swing entirely yet, but I'll open them back up herewith and see if I can gradually catch up on what you've been up to while I was gone. Bear with me as I get reoriented and organized. And mow the lawn. Stuff like that.
