Petroglyphs
Snow this morning!
Flurries and then a light snow for about an hour- the sun melted it all as soon as the clouds scattered. (Extra is Boone with some snow pellets- they weren't hard when they hit but felt more like styrofoam beads.)
The rest of the day was clear so of course we hiked.
These petroglyphs are within a few miles of the cabin and are known only to a few who have found them at random.
I cringe when I recall other sites that have been destroyed for profit or just out of ignorance by graffiti.
I wonder at the history, the stories of those who walked where we walk now.
Amazing.
