Bottom Laithe

In my first blip I revealed a part of a barn. Well, here she is. Bottom Laithe, a derelict beauty in the Forest of Bowland. She has a roof, and is dry and good to use. Today we invited our young actors , parents and sundry dogs to take a walk to the barn and get to know their performance space.

It was a beautiful day. Sjoerd, PeerGroup's artistic director invited everyone to carry a piece of wood down to the barn, to form part of the final set. Here you see Sjoerd, Adam, Marin and Suba carrying them on site

This is a really remote and silent place. Yet every day mountain bikers hurtle past this barn in pursuit of thrills. We hope to tempt them in to hear stories and be thrilled in other ways.
