The Invaders

When I took a photo of native bluebells last week, several people asked what the difference was between our native ones and the Spanish invaders. Well, the bells on the native species grow on just one side of the stem so they bend into an arch whereas on these Spanish ones you can see the bells form all around the stem. Hope that has cleared that one up!
