Ashton Memorial

I have been to Lancaster afew times but not to Williamson Park where the Ashton Memorial is, easily spotted on top of the hill. It was the perfect day to sit/stand in the late afternoon sun and balmy evening to see Hacienda Classical, that's ex-Hacienda DJs Mike Pickering and Graeme Park playing 90s acid house tunes with the Manchester Camerata. Not great - the sound wasn't up to much so you couldn't hear the orchestra very well and Peter Hook was a bit of a waste of space - but we really enjoyed it
