"Je sais cuisiner"

I inherited this cookery book from my mother who used it all her life.  the edges are such that each time I use it a few more bits drop off!!  I chose this page because I remember this as a favourite recipe when I was little - the magic of watching her quickly take these biscuits out of the oven and wrap them round a wooden spoon handle.  We got to eat the ones that had lost too much heat before she could do this!!

My heritage was also the ability to speak French!  We never spoke any other language together even though we lived in England!!!  And perhaps a love of cooking!
