YIN-YANG CLEAVAGE

Oh yesss!

Over the last few days, this mini heat wave has brought out the Great Brussels Cleavage. A panacea for sore eyes!

Spoiled for choice, my camera bottled out & took this shot of a piece of raku ware which I made about 18 years ago... The shiny side was coated with burnished Terra Sigillata & when it was removed from the kiln still glowing with a very long pair of tongs, I placed it in a steel drum full of sawdust & slammed a lid on.

The reducing atmosphere deposited carbon...

So it goes
