Peony

I received an email from my friend to say that late yesterday afternoon the first Peony had opened and I was welcome to sample it today. I arrived late morning and since last night many more peony had opened due to the beautiful weather - two herbaceous (yellow and red) and two tree (dark red and white). As I'm pleased with all four I'm posting one as the main image – the dark red tree peony - and the other three as extras. There were a number of other species in flower but today it is just the Peony - which I love.
