Mono Monday - Heritage

I had a little walk around Wetherby this morning - looking for inspiration for 'heritage'.

I looked at the old mill wheels and sluices at the weir and decided to save those for a derelict Sunday!

I was photographing a snoozy pigeon (see extras) when I spotted the bandstand. Now this is not very old - it was only built in 2000, but it will be our heritage to future generations. I have given it a bit of a heritage feel in Silver Efex Pro - having removed some modern road signs and a satellite dish!

The bandstand hosts Sunday afternoon brass band concerts from May to September - there is a full programme in 2016  - and they are very popular.
