Today's the day .......................... to make waves

I went to the hairdresser first thing this morning - always a pleasant experience.

I walked home on the riverside path along the Kent - and on this beautifully warm sunny day, I couldn't help thinking how innocent and peaceful the river looked.  No hint at all of the ravages of the winter months when the water level was several metres higher.

Mrs Goosander looked as if she had just been to the hairdresser too - and had asked for the 'shaggy' cut with a touch of back-combing.  She was definitely making waves as she went on her way .........................
