The Temple of Apollo

The Temple of Apollo is one of several follies in the garden at Stourhead, and dates back to 1765. Apollo's head sits in a golden sunburst, high up in the domed ceiling of the Temple of Apollo. An optical illusion makes the figure seem to move as you move your head while watching it!
