For everyone born

My friend Lorna was looking for a new church home and a google search brought up this explicitly LGBT welcoming church, so we went today, and it was amazing. Somehow I tend to struggle with church outside of the pebble - and that doesn't mean that we have the only true way of worship, it just means that many of the things we do are meaningful to me at this stage in my life, and that often many of the things I find in other churches are not. The service today was different though: It didn't feel staged, the sermon was from the heart and the minister said things I needed to hear, the songs were familiar and in tune with a theology I agree with, the people seemed genuinely nice and practised what they preach, ... I just felt very at home and was almost a bit sad that I won't get to go again next Sunday.
I also got to be a tourist in a tartan shop and I found out that I weigh as much as a giant ant eater, and then I went to Glasgow and I got to see my friend Margaret whom I hadn't seen in a long time and my friend Becki who lives in my house on the pebble. And I've been, for a few days now, exploring the meaning and impact of a wristband - the pebble being a safe enough place and Edinburgh and Glasgow faceless enough to do that.
