The allotment in May
Always a good fallback, the allotment. Spent the afternoon digging over the bed in the foreground and sowing some dwarf beans (Canadian Wonder variety). Hoed over the rest, mowed and edged the grassy bits. Only remaining digging to do is the brassica patch under the netting in the background.
Here it is in March and January. More planting out and sowing to do and endless weeding, especially the dreaded Marestails which are beginning to poke their ugly heads up all over the place.
Seems we're having the worst of the weather in the south for a change. Dull and overcast here today, with rain in the evening. Up in NW Scotland, on the Isle of Skye the temperatures were 27C.
