New....
....windows
Today whilst I was stuck at work the wonderful Harborne Sash Window Company started to install our new windows on the front of the house.
Claire had the day off and went for her Tetanus Jab after yesterdays incident but also spent the day going back and forth to the house.
I couldn't wait to get back and see the latest developments (sad I know) and I wasn't disappointed. We wanted to keep the front of the house as original as possible but the windows were beyond repair, we did lots of research and found if you want traditional authentic sliding sash windows you have to pay a lot for them. We are now glad we put the extra money for their top of the range windows now as it really does make the difference (the ones we had on the back were a lot cheaper).
The window company will return tomorrow to finish off their work.
Before we went on holiday the house hadn't really come along a great deal for months but in the past three weeks we have seen major change and there is lots more development taking place very soon. We'll be in before we know it, we just need central heating, a kitchen and a bathroom not to mention 25 plus walls to be plastered.
Also in this shot you can see the new slated roof and rebuilt chimneys.
