Thistle

We spent the weekend up on the north shore of Lake Superior. We escaped the heat and humidity of the Cities to enjoy low eighties and low humidity. Fell asleep with open windows and the lulling sounds of the lake vs. the hum of the air conditioner.

Perfect get away.

This is Thistle.
He hangs out in the lobby of BlueFin Bay on Fridays. He was rescued from the side of highway, found next to his mom had been hit by a car, and was raised at Wolf Ridge. More pet than wild, I got as close as I ever will to a porcupine, but not too close.
