Lancashire....

A lot of people still think that the county of Lancashire is all dark, satanic mills and decaying, industrial towns. Well, where they still exist the dark, satanic mills have been converted into trendy apartments for the well to do and the old, industrial towns are busy remodelling themselves for a better future.

But even when the mills were producing enough cotton to clothe the planet and the industrial towns were at the top of their game producing vast amount of wealth for the mill's owners at least, much of the county was still beautiful, rolling green countryside. I was up there today in the countryside near Chorley and stopped to take this picture.
