Empty spaces

We all suffer from empty spaces at times!
 
So, the trees are gone, and we spent a bit of time yanking out the Agave attenuata as well.  So now we have a nice new garden bed to plant out.  The space to the right of the image is to have a garden pond, but that be a bit of time coming.  

We need to build retaining walls and such like done first where we pulled out the clivias.  It’s a shame they all had to go, and Paladian has discovered that the soil is absolute rubbish, so I can see we’ll need to build it up with compost, which luckily we have stacks of at the bottom of the garden.
