Spotted

this moorhen on a quick walk down to the river this evening :)

I have spent all day in the car (4 and a half hours driving a normal days drive of 45 minutes or so and 2 hours driving home the other way) due to the motorway being closed all day, and now until the early hours of tomorrow apparently.  Some of this morning's drive, an hour or so was in the car in stationary traffic with the engine off....

I heard on the radio that a lady from my town has been on the motorway all day (they closed two junctions to allow the people still stuck on the motorway to get off eventually, but its been crazy.  As I came home, there was still traffic on the other side for a good many miles.  One lane on my side coming home was also coned off.

 Thoughts with the family of the poor lorry driver who lost his life when the lorry jack knifed very early this morning....

What a day!  4 hours at work, thankfully I have an extremely understanding manager, who himself had to turn round and was working from home today...

Tomorrow I will be meeting my manager at work very early as we have a lot to get through...so its an early night and early morning tomorrow, hoping the motorway will be open again!

Very glad indeed to be home and alive.  Unfortunately with all the driving, my silly back was painful again, hence the walk....
